Rebecca Meredith
Rebecca Meredith, Redmond's first poet laureate (2010-2012), worked in cooperation with the Redmond Arts Commission, the Redmond Historical Society, and the Redmond Library to produce a poetry anthology celebrating the city's centennial. This book, 10x10, asks artists to respond to 10 historical photos, depicting a moment in Redmond's history.
Raúl Sanchez
Redmond Poet Laureate Raul Sanchez (2020-2021) recorded a video for the Redmond Historical Society, reflecting on what he loves most about Redmond and it's vibrant community.
Shin Yu Pai
The Redmond Historical Society also worked with Redmond Poet Laureate Shin Yu Pai (2015-2017) to provide historic images for her exhibit, “Animating Archives: Contemporary Chlorophyll Prints."
This project recreated a series of images of our town and its residents as chlorophyll prints on leaves that were harvested in Redmond.
