School Days

Redmond’s school district has grown over the years, but many folks in Redmond share memories of the same school buildings!
How were the lives of these students similar or different to your school memories?

Encore, encore! All of the students in the 1925 play pose for a picture. What is it like to be the star of the show?  What about an extra? 

This photo was likely taken in the Old Redmond Schoolhouse. This Redmond landmark has a rich history and is used by Redmond Parks and Recreation for many community classes. It is also home to early learning classes for the Lake Washington School District.

Principal Ed Dorothy (right) and student Mark Baker (left) race in Redmond High School while recovering from injuries.  The winner, Baker, was injured in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Dorothy injured his Achilles tendon while participating in a benefit basketball game.
